Bellshill and Mossend After School Club are involved in a developmental initiative working in partnership with local schools, nurseries and North Lanarkshire Council, that aims to provide their local community and businesses with native plants and trees. The after school care are allocating an area of their grounds as an orchard where tress will be grown and then passed out to the community in an effort to maintain the natural biodiversity.
Loanhead After School Club - Midlothian
Loanhead After School Club has developed a pick-up service for vulnerable children that attend their breakfast club. This is a free service which allows the children to have a nourishing breakfast and take time out to complete and homework. The feedback from head teachers has been very positive and have highlighted that some children are becoming more settled and making improvements in their attention.
LASCCA Langside - Glasgow
Langside After School Club has recently set up a friendship corner for the children in order to promote new and different friendships and encourage communication. They have kindly sent on the picture below.
